Agadir dessert tours to Merzouga

Embark on your Agadir desert tour to Merzouga by morning departure from your hotel. Your first destination will be Taroudant that is known as “the little Marrakech”. Here, you will visit the ancient medina, massive ramparts, and local market. Driving further east, you will pass by Taliouine, famous for its saffron plantation fields. After having breakfast in the guest-house, your departure starts from Ouarzazate to the Toudgha Gorges. Get a pause at Skoura Oasis to discover its unlimited palm trees and visit the beautifully restored Kasbah Amredhil. Then, you will travel off-road through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Along the way, you can visit several Kasbahs, ideally placed amongst the palm trees. Back on the paved road, your desert tour continues through the Valley of the Roses. You will visit the local co-operatives producing fragrant-perfumes from abundant flowers. Arrive at the Toudgha Gorges where we stop for lunch and explore the gorge. Continue your trip to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. A camel ride ,here, leads to the summit of the dunes(250m). Climb up to the summit of the dunes in the early morning. You can enjoy the sunrise spectacle sight. The color of the golden sand dunes and the play of shadows are a beautiful sight too. Have breakfast, then, continue your desert adventure to Agdz. Travel via the villages of Rissani, Alnif, Tazzarine, and finally N’Qob where you will have lunch and get the chance to explore. An afternoon journey takes you to Tanasikht, where you drive off-track along the ancient Road of the Caravans and through the Dra’a valley. Have breakfast and continue driving from Agdez to Taznakht that is well-known for its Berber rugs. Explore the town and learn about rug craftsmanship. Continue your trip to Agadir crossing the Tizi-n-Ikhsane and Tizi-n-Tighatine passes. In Taliouine, the heart of the saffron growing area of Morocco, you will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, the itinerary takes you to Taroudant. You will explore the medina and the massive walls of Taroudant. Shortly after, continue to Agadir. The arrival to Agadir will in the late afternoon.
